Four services, handled the same way every time. If your document isn't listed, call and ask — most things people bring us fall into one of these.
We come to you. Homes, offices, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, assisted living facilities, coffee shops, jobsites. Bring valid photo identification and leave the document unsigned until we're there to witness it.
For documents headed overseas. We facilitate the process — the notarization where one is needed, the submission to the Colorado Secretary of State, and routing to the U.S. Department of State for documents that require federal authentication. The certificate itself is issued by the government authority, not by us. Government filing fees are passed through at cost, not marked up.
Purchase, refinance, HELOC, seller packages, and reverse mortgages. We bring more than twenty years inside banking and mortgage lending — originating since 2005 at major banks and credit unions, closing thousands of loans for everyone from first-time buyers to wealth management clients — to every signing table.
That means we know what every document in the stack is for and why the lender wants it. It is the difference between a signing that takes forty minutes and one that generates three days of corrections.
When there's a stack rather than a single page. Estate documents often need multiple notarizations and witnesses in one sitting, and handling them one at a time gets expensive — a single flat rate covers the visit and the whole stack.
Quotes are built the same way every time, and you get the whole number before we start — never after.
Colorado sets a statutory maximum for the act itself, per document. That ceiling is the same for every notary in the state, so this part of your quote is not where notaries differ.
A travel charge based on where you are and when. Denver and Arapahoe counties are the base rate and outlying counties step up. Weekend appointments carry a premium, as do appointments before 9:00am or after 7:00pm.
Printing, courier work, and apostille handling are quoted separately when they apply. Government filing fees and shipping are passed through at cost, never marked up.
We focus on Denver and Arapahoe counties and the communities between them, which is where we can reliably be at your door the same day rather than sometime next week.
Adams, Jefferson, Douglas and Broomfield counties are available at the out-of-area rate. Anything beyond the metro, call and we'll quote it before you commit to anything.
Hospitals, skilled nursing and assisted living facilities are routine for us. If the signer's condition raises a question about whether they can knowingly sign, say so when you call — that's a conversation to have before the appointment, not at the bedside.
Saturday and Sunday appointments carry a weekend premium, and any appointment before 9:00am or after 7:00pm carries an after-hours charge. Both are quoted before you book, never added afterward.
Five minutes of preparation prevents the appointment most likely to go wrong. Nearly every notarization we have to refuse comes down to something on this list.
An apostille certifies the authenticity of the signature and the capacity of the official who signed your document, so a foreign authority can rely on it. Whether the receiving organization accepts the document for its particular purpose remains up to them.
Where it goes depends on who issued and certified the document. The Colorado Secretary of State authenticates records bearing a Colorado notary's signature, or certified by Colorado Vital Records or a Colorado county clerk. Federal documents — FBI background checks and anything issued by a federal agency — go to the U.S. Department of State in Washington. Out-of-state government records generally cannot be authenticated in Colorado, though a Colorado notary can often certify a copy of one. Sending a document to the wrong office is the most common way an apostille gets delayed.
Cost and turnaround depend on the route your document takes and how fast you need it. Standard state filing moves at one speed, expedited at another, and anything requiring federal authentication on top runs on a different clock entirely. National concierge services quote one flat price without knowing any of that. We would rather quote your actual matter.
National apostille companies are real businesses that complete real work. They are also built to run at volume, and that shapes what the experience feels like from your side.
Signature Assurance Group is led by Bryant Pryor — originating mortgages since 2005, employed by major banks and credit unions across more than twenty years in the industry. Thousands of loans closed, across the full range: first-time buyers using down payment assistance, move-up borrowers, self-employed files, and private and wealth management clients.
Most notaries come to this work from outside lending and learn the documents by seeing them. We came from inside the transaction, which is a different kind of useful when something in the package doesn't look right at the table.
Practices vary between companies, and a reputable national service may handle any of these differently. Ask whichever provider you are considering these same questions before you hand over a document you cannot replace.
Calling is fastest. Tell us the document, the address, and when you need it — we'll quote the full cost before we hang up.
