Signature Assurance Group provides mobile notary and apostille facilitation services in Colorado. This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. If anything here is unclear, call us at 720-984-2359 and ask.
What we collect
We collect information in three situations.
- When you contact us. If you call, text, email, or send the appointment request form, we receive your name, phone number, email address, the location of the appointment, and whatever you tell us about the documents involved.
- When we perform a notarial act. Colorado law requires a notary public to keep a journal of every notarial act. That record includes the date and time, the type of act, a description of the document, the signer's name and address, and the form of identification relied on.
- When you visit this website. Our hosting provider records standard server information such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. We do not use advertising trackers on this site.
How we use it
We use what you give us to quote your job, schedule the appointment, perform the work, and follow up about it. We use the notarial journal to meet our obligations as a commissioned Colorado notary public.
We do not sell your information. We do not rent it, trade it, or share it for anyone else's marketing.
Identification documents
At an appointment we examine your identification to confirm who you are. We record in the notarial journal the type of identification relied on, as the law requires. We do not photograph, scan, or keep a copy of your identification unless a specific transaction requires it and you have agreed to it.

Who else sees your information
We use a small number of service providers to operate the business, and they handle only what they need to:
- Website hosting and security, which processes standard server logs.
- Form delivery, which passes appointment requests from this site to our email.
- Email, which carries our correspondence with you.
Beyond that, we share information only where a transaction requires it — for example, submitting your document to the Colorado Secretary of State for an apostille, or returning a completed signing package to the title company or lender that engaged us — or where the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
Appointment requests, correspondence, and billing records are kept as long as needed for the work and for ordinary business and tax purposes. The notarial journal is retained for the period Colorado law requires, which extends beyond the life of the commission.
Security
This site is served over an encrypted connection. The notarial journal is kept under the notary's exclusive control as required by law. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise, but we do not retain sensitive information we do not need.
Your choices
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete business records we are not required to keep. Call or email and we will respond. The one thing we cannot do is alter or delete a notarial journal entry, for the reasons above.
If you would rather not send anything through this website, call or text instead. The form is a convenience, not a requirement.
Children
This site is meant for adults arranging notarial services and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children through this website.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page.
